Export saves your data in a plain, readable form. You can open it without MindDuck and without the internet. Unlike a backup, an export is not encrypted and isn't meant for restoring.

All data

Sync & backup → Your data → Export all data.

MindDuck builds a folder of HTML pages: chats, documents, saved facts and the available attachments. Open index.html in it in any browser. Keep the pages and attachments together in one folder.

Before exporting you see:

  • the approximate folder size and how much space is needed while it's prepared;
  • that private and archived data are included, and the trash isn't.

The export isn't encrypted. Store and share it carefully.

One chat

In the chat settings click Export. You get the same kind of folder, but only with this chat and its attachments.

A document

In an open document click Export and choose a format:

  • Markdown (.md): the exact text of the chosen version;
  • Text (.txt): without markup;
  • Generate PDF (.pdf): A4 pages, without images.
