Image descriptions

So that you can find an image by searching ("screenshot with the payment error", "photo of the café receipt"), MindDuck keeps its description and the text recognized on it. All of it is encrypted, synced and searched locally.

New images in a chat

When you send an image, the model returns a short description and the recognized text together with its answer. There is no separate charge for this.

View a description

Click an image to open it full screen. The Image description and text section shows:

• the image description;
• the recognized text (Text found in the image) in its original language;
• which model made the analysis;
• a note if a reduced preview was analysed rather than the original.

The description is available even on devices that don't have the original image.

Imported images

MindDuck doesn't send images from imported archives anywhere by itself: describing them is started manually and costs money.

• One image: open it full screen and click Describe for search.
• Several or all: Describe images for search in the chat settings.

Before starting, MindDuck shows the list of images, the model and the approximate cost. Only the images go to the model, without the conversation. The job can be paused (Pause, Resume), stopped (Stop), and failed images retried (Retry unfinished).

Search

Search takes into account the file name, the description and the recognized text. A found image opens the chat at the right message. Details: Memory search.
